If you’re running a drying or curing line, you know the drill. You need heat, and you need it now. That’s exactly why we built this 348mm 1000W lamp. It’s designed to punch through surfaces quickly, making it a simple, no-fuss swap for most industrial setups. The Power Stuff Putting 1000W into a 348mm tube creates a serious amount of heat. To keep the tungsten filament from just evaporating under all that pressure, we use a halogen gas fill. It keeps the lamp alive longer, even when you’re cycling the power on and off all day. It ramps up fast. Really fast. But here’s the thing: because it’s so powerful, you’ve got to keep your reflectors spotless. If dust builds up, your efficiency tanks. Worse, the heat can get uneven, and that’s how you end up with a cracked quartz envelope. Not a fun day at the office. The Build and the Wiring We use high-purity quartz because it can handle the wild temperature swings without flinching. When it comes to the connection, we usually go with R7s or spring-loaded connectors. Why? Because a loose connection is a disaster waiting to happen. You’ll get arcing, and you’ll burn out the ends of your lamp before it even gets a chance to work. If you’re dropping these into a PET blowing machine or a shrink-wrap tunnel, just double-check your sockets. Make sure they’re rated for the heat, or you’ll be smelling melted plastic pretty quickly. Where This Actually Works You’ll mostly see these in plastic curing and PET bottle blowing. In those worlds, the material is flying down a conveyor belt, and you don’t have time to wait for a slow warm-up. These lamps hit their peak almost instantly. One last tip: check your fans. These things get incredibly hot. If the air around the housing stagnates, you’re basically cooking your own electronics and shortening the lamp’s life. Keep the air moving, and everything stays happy.
