We designed it as a direct-radiant heat source, the kind you lean on for industrial heating, curing, and drying. It’s a powerhouse. Running at 400V and 2500W, packed into a tube that’s just about 300mm long, it gives you intense heat density. What does that feel like on the floor? Fast heat-up. Fast cool-down. The 400V setup keeps the current manageable, but just so you know, your power supply and wiring have to be ready for the full load.
What It’s Made Of—And Why It Matters
The tube is quartz, not regular glass. That matters because it can take the shock of heating up and cooling down quickly without cracking. Inside, the halogen fill does a clever trick: it keeps the filament running hot while constantly redepositing evaporated tungsten back onto it. That’s how you get a longer life out of the lamp. And the shortwave IR coating? It’s tuned so that plastics and coatings absorb the heat fast. For mounting, we went with the R7s or SK15 connector. It’s practical. It gives you a secure, aligned electrical connection and makes the lamp a simple drop-in replacement in standard fixtures.
Where It Shines—And What to Watch For
This lamp is at home wherever you need heat on demand—PET blowing, thermoforming, adhesive curing. It comes alive with intense IR energy and barely any warm-up time. You get focused, localized heating. That means tighter control over your process and less wasted energy. But there’s a trade-off: the output is intense. Thermal management matters. Protect nearby components, and make sure your machine’s cooling can handle the heat. It’s built for production, but it’s not indestructible. Plan your inspections, and keep spares on hand.
