The 55V also keeps the current draw in check, which is a relief compared to the strain of mains-voltage options. And that 237mm length? It wasn’t an accident. It’s just long enough to cover the heating zone you need, but short enough to slip into compact equipment without forcing you to redesign the whole chamber.
Material & Design
The halogen tech inside keeps the quartz envelope steady, even when you’re constantly cycling the heat on and off. That halogen cycle does a smart thing—it prevents tungsten from settling back on the inner wall, so the output stays consistent over the lamp’s life. Quartz also handles the shock of those sudden power cycles way better than regular glass. And the whole thing is designed to just drop right in. It fits the common R7s double-ended mounts, so you can wire it up without hunting down custom fixtures.
Application & Benefits
This setup shines when you need heat that responds instantly and behaves predictably—think plastics forming, sealing, curing, and jobs like that. You get a tight 237mm form and 250W of power, so you can focus the heat exactly where you want it. Here’s the trade-off, though: that power density means you need solid airflow and thermal management around the lamp.
