TC01 Gold Reflector Twin Infrared Oven: Built for Halogen Heat, Built for Speed
We built the TC01 because some jobs just need heat—fast, focused, and on demand. This isn’t a catch-all heater. It’s a dedicated tool, built around high-intensity halogen lamps that deliver radiant energy the moment you need it.
What’s Under the Hood: Power, Voltage, and Smart Layout
The TC01 runs on a twin-lamp setup, so you get two independent heating channels packed into one compact footprint. The lamps are made for 400V operation—a smart choice for industrial power. It lets you run high-wattage loads without overloading standard circuits. Higher voltage means lower current, which means less voltage drop over long cable runs and simpler wiring. Each lamp hits 2500W, giving you 5000W total in short-wave infrared. The tubes are typically 300mm long, which focuses the heat into a tight zone. Perfect when your process window is narrow and you can’t afford energy spreading where it isn’t needed.
The Details That Make It Feel Different
We chose halogen lamps for a reason. The halogen cycle lets the filament run hotter than a standard incandescent bulb. Hotter filament means more radiant output and quicker start-up. The quartz envelope handles rapid on-off cycling, and the halogen chemistry keeps output steady over the life of the lamp. The gold reflector isn’t there to look good. It’s a purpose-built coating optimized for infrared reflectance, catching broad-spectrum energy that would otherwise go to waste and bouncing it back as usable heat. The result? Better directional control and far less stray heat loss. For installation, the TC01 uses R7s bases. It’s a straightforward, tough ceramic two-pin interface that can handle high temperatures and keeps electrical contact solid. It’s designed to drop right into compatible fixtures, so maintenance doesn’t turn into a production stoppage.
Where It Comes Alive: Control, Speed, and Repeatability
On the floor, the TC01 shines when you need rapid heat-up and repeatable control: curing coatings, drying inks, preheating for thermoforming, and localized heating on assembly lines. The twin-tube design gives you two advantages: redundancy and zoning. You can match the power pattern to the part, instead of fighting it.
The Reality Check—And Why It’s Worth It
Here’s the trade-off: the short-wave infrared output is intense. That’s the point. But you do need to manage the thermal load in the surrounding equipment. Make sure your enclosure, shielding, and cooling are up to the concentrated heat density. When you get that part right, the TC01 gives you heat that turns on fast, stays controllable, and doesn’t keep you waiting.
