Let’s talk about these 616mm 1500W Quartz Halogen Lamps
If you need heat—and you need it now—these lamps are your best bet. We built these specifically for high-intensity infrared work. At 1500W and 230V, they don’t mess around. They blast a concentrated line of heat exactly where you need it, which is why they’re the go-to for anyone who can’t afford to wait around for a machine to warm up. The fit matters. Here is the thing about the 616mm length: it’s a hard limit. If your housing is off by even a couple of millimeters, the lamp just won’t seat. It’s that simple. We stuck with the 1500W rating so you can hit those curing or drying temperatures almost instantly. No long wait times, no wasted energy. Just plug it into your standard industrial single-phase power and you’re good to go. Why quartz and ceramic? We use high-purity quartz glass because it can handle the shock. When you’re flipping these things on and off rapidly, cheaper glass would just crack. Inside, there’s halogen gas that keeps the tungsten filament from burning out too fast, so the lamp actually lasts. Then there are the R7s ceramic ends. We went with ceramic because plastic or basic metal just can’t take the heat soak; they’d warp or melt. Plus, the clip-in design is a lifesaver. When one finally burns out, you just pop it out and drop a new one in. No fuss. A few things to watch out for… These lamps are fast. Really fast. But that intensity means the quartz gets incredibly hot. Keep your reflectors clean. Make sure your ventilation is actually doing its job. And please, check your R7s sockets. If they’re loose or look a bit rusty, you’ll get arcing at the contact points. That’s a quick way to fry the ends of your lamp and waste your money. Keep those contacts tight, and these things will treat you right.
